Private naturist sailing holiday in Northern Dalmatia

Naturist sailing from Sukošan

With your own sailing yacht, you set the pace of each day together. As soon as you leave the marina behind, busy beaches give way to secluded bays, crystal-clear water and plenty of space to relax naked on deck.

Every sailing holiday is tailored to you. Use the enquiry form to tell us your preferred travel dates, group size, sailing experience and any particular requirements. You will then receive a personalised proposal with a suitable yacht, suggested itinerary and quotation.

This naturist sailing holiday in Croatia starts in Sukošan, near Zadar. You hire a yacht to suit your group and can either sail independently or book the services of a professional skipper. There is no fixed itinerary. The wind, weather conditions, your sailing experience and your own preferences determine which islands, bays and harbours you visit.

This holiday is particularly suited to naturists who enjoy spending time outdoors and prefer not to follow a fixed daily schedule. Days can be spent sailing, swimming, snorkelling and dropping anchor in peaceful bays. Towards evening, you can head for a sheltered bay or harbour for the night. It is an ideal way to combine the freedom of naturism with the varied island scenery of Northern Dalmatia.

Your own sailing yacht

You travel exclusively with your own group and choose a yacht with the right number of cabins and berths for your party.

Naturism on the water

Enjoy the privacy to sunbathe naked on deck and swim without a swimsuit in secluded bays whenever the surroundings allow.

A tailor-made itinerary

Plan your route around the weather, your sailing experience and destinations such as Telašćica, Sali, Vrgada and the Kornati Islands.

Naturist life on board

The yacht is your own private base throughout the holiday, creating a more intimate and personal atmosphere than you would find on a group cruise. You can generally sunbathe and relax naked on deck while the yacht is under sail or anchored in a quiet bay. The bathing platform also gives you direct access to the water whenever you fancy a naturist swim or snorkelling break.

Choose a yacht that suits your group

The exact layout and equipment vary from yacht to yacht. A modern sailing yacht will usually have several double cabins, a saloon, a galley and one or more compact bathrooms with a toilet and shower. Outside, there is generally a cockpit with seating, a bimini or sunshade and a bathing platform or swimming ladder.

Typical facilities

- separate cabins with storage space;

- galley with cooking facilities and a refrigerator;

- toilet and shower on board;

- cockpit with seating and an outdoor table;

- swimming ladder or bathing platform;

- navigation and safety equipment;

- option to book a professional skipper.

Facilities such as air conditioning, heating, a coffee machine, additional refrigeration or a watermaker depend on the yacht you choose. Always check the specifications of the yacht offered in your proposal. Bear in mind, too, that cabins and bathrooms on a sailing yacht are more compact than those in an apartment or hotel.

Depart from Sukošan's large marina

Your sailing holiday starts in Sukošan, a short distance from Zadar. Its large marina caters specifically for sailing and charter yachts, with toilets and showers, shops, restaurants and cafés, technical services, a fuel station and parking all close at hand.

Arrival and departure are generally on Saturdays. Before boarding, you can stock up on provisions and inspect the yacht, safety equipment and inventory. You can then discuss the first leg of your journey. You will not need a car during your week at sea, although having one can be useful for getting to the marina or combining your sailing holiday with a stay on the Croatian mainland.

If you would prefer to depart from another marina, mention this when making your enquiry. Whether this is possible will depend on yacht availability, the charter company and any additional costs involved.

Sample seven-day sailing itinerary

One possible route takes you from Sukošan to a peaceful bay near Pašman, followed by Sali on Dugi Otok. From there, you can sail towards Telašćica Nature Park and Kornati National Park before returning to Sukošan via an anchorage near Vrgada.

Think of this route as inspiration rather than a fixed itinerary. The skipper will adapt the plans if the wind, waves or local conditions make this advisable. Your own preferences also play a part: you might choose to spend more time sailing, stop more often for a swim, stay overnight in secluded bays or enjoy an evening ashore.

Telašćica Nature Park

From approximately 11 nautical miles from Sukošan, depending on your chosen route

The deep bay of Telašćica lies on the south-eastern side of Dugi Otok. It offers sheltered anchorages, a rugged island coastline and opportunities for walking ashore. A valid ticket is required to enter the protected nature park.

Kornati National Park

From approximately 14 nautical miles from Sukošan, depending on which part of the park you visit

The Kornati Islands form an extensive archipelago of rugged, sparsely vegetated islands, rocky outcrops and narrow sailing passages. The national park encompasses 89 islands, islets and reefs. A valid entrance ticket is also required when visiting the park by boat.

Indicative yacht sizes and starting prices

The prices below provide an initial indication of the original pricing structure. The final cost of your holiday will depend on factors including your travel dates, the age of the yacht, its equipment, your departure marina and whether you choose to book a skipper.

- two-cabin sailing yacht for approximately 2 to 4 people: from €1,900;

- three-cabin sailing yacht for approximately 4 to 6 people: from €2,900;

- four-cabin sailing yacht for approximately 6 to 8 people: from €4,000;

- five-cabin sailing yacht for approximately 8 to 11 people: from €5,900.

Is a naturist sailing holiday right for you?

This holiday is ideal for independent naturists who enjoy outdoor living and want their holiday to follow the natural rhythm of the wind and the sea. Instead of a fixed resort programme, you have your own private space on the water and a different view every day.

Complete the enquiry form with your preferred travel dates, group size, sailing experience and any particular preferences. Euronature can then put together a suitable yacht and personalised travel proposal for you.
