You can customise your short-term travel insurance yourself. Choose from three variants: Basic, Comfort, and Optimal, and you can also expand these variants with additional services.

If you book travel insurance with your holiday via Euronature, you’ll automatically get the Short-Term Travel Insurance Comfort (with Europe or worldwide coverage) including medical expenses, luggage, accidents, and legal assistance. The cost of this insurance is €2.07 per person per day. You can also opt for Basic or Optimal travel insurance instead of Comfort. Below, you’ll find more information about the different variants.

Short-term travel insurance Basic

The Basic travel insurance provides good coverage for the most important risks during your trip, such as personal assistance via the A.S.R. Helpline. Additionally, you are entitled to limited compensation, for example, if your luggage is stolen. By choosing the Basic travel insurance via A.S.R. Insurance, you pay the lowest premium. The basic insurance always includes standard Europe cover. For travel outside Europe, you can extend the Basic travel insurance with Worldwide cover. Other additional extensions for your basic travel insurance include medical expenses, winter sports, and death. For these additions, you pay a low premium.

Short-term travel insurance Comfort

The Comfort travel insurance from A.S.R. offers more than the Basic travel insurance. With Comfort, you receive higher compensation for the coverages you choose, such as medical expenses, accidents, or luggage. This travel insurance also includes standard Europe cover, which you can extend with Worldwide cover. For the additional extensions, you pay a higher premium.

Short-term travel insurance Optimal

Don’t want to take any risks? Then the Optimal travel insurance from A.S.R. is ideal for you. A.S.R. has designed a comprehensive travel insurance to ensure you’re not faced with surprises. Luggage, medical expenses, and legal assistance are, for example, automatically included. If your luggage is lost, the new value (for items up to two years old) is reimbursed, without an excess! As with the other insurances, you can choose between Europe cover or Worldwide cover.

​​​​​​​Additional cover options include: cover area, luggage, cash, medical expenses, dental, legal assistance, death, permanent disability, winter sports, vehicle breakdown assistance, and extra sports equipment.

A.S.R. travel assistance app

A.S.R. Insurance has created a free Travel Assistance app for holidaymakers needing quick help with damage. It allows you to directly contact the emergency helpline in case of an emergency and provides necessary medical information about your destination. What can you do with the app? Access your insurance details, photos, and documents; share your location with family and fellow travellers; retrieve important destination information; store personal documents; and save notes and photos if damage occurs. 24/7 assistance from A.S.R.

Wherever you are, A.S.R. offers excellent service. The A.S.R. helpline is available worldwide, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. In case of breakdowns, accidents, illness, or emergencies, their staff are ready to assist. For medical issues, you’ll be referred to a hospital through the helpline, and if necessary, SOS International will be contacted. SOS International specialises in personal and material assistance. With A.S.R., you’re always in the best hands near your holiday location.

The helpline can be reached at +31 20 6515 777. Make sure to have your booking number and a reachable phone number at hand when calling.

For medical care, it’s important to carry your EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), often located on the back of your insurance card. The EHIC can be used in: Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland, and Australia. For Morocco, Turkey, and Tunisia, you’ll need a 111-form from your health insurer.

What to do in case of damage, loss, or theft?

If your luggage is damaged or hasn’t arrived at the airport, it’s essential to have a PIR report (Property Irregularity Report) created by the airline at the airport. Additionally, take photos of the damaged items and always keep the items. In some cases, the evidence must be provided to A.S.R.

If your luggage is stolen during your trip, it’s important to report it to the local police. Ensure you obtain a written copy of the report.

Filing a claim

If you need to file a claim, you can do so using the online A.S.R. claim form. The form should be filled out as completely as possible, including evidence, the PIR report, and guarantees.
