Most beaches suitable for naturism are located on the southern coast of Crete. The naturist hotel Vritomartis has its own naturist beach: Filaki Beach.
Attractions
Crete’s history dates back to 6000 BC, which is evident in the world-famous archaeological site of Knossos, with the Palace of King Minos being its main attraction. The island is very mountainous, with the highest peak reaching 2456 metres. There are several gorges on Crete varying in length, depth, and accessibility. The Samaria Gorge and the Imbros Gorge are the most famous, but all gorges require sturdy (walking) shoes! If you’re looking to visit a city, Chania with its charming old town is highly recommended.

Crete boasts a large number of excellent restaurants and tavernas. The local drink is raki. In the cosy Greek tavernas, you can enjoy the finest fish and meat dishes. Crete is renowned for having some of the best olive groves in the world. Olive oil is an indispensable ingredient in Greek cuisine.
