Balatontourist Camping Naturist Berény

Balatontourist Camping Naturist Berény is a welcoming naturist campsite right on the shores of Hungary’s much-loved Lake Balaton. It’s the perfect spot for a laid-back holiday. Stretch out on the large round pier to soak up the sun, take a refreshing dip, or enjoy a scenic walk or bike ride along the lake. A visit to the town of Keszthely or one of the area’s thermal baths is also highly recommended. In the evening, enjoy a meal at the campsite restaurant or at one of the nearby local eateries. The campsite is easy to reach, just eight kilometres from the motorway. Signs in the village will lead you straight there. When you arrive, you’ll find a beautiful, well-maintained site and a warm welcome at reception — the best possible start to your holiday.

Friendly and green

The campsite is lush and well cared for. Set up your caravan, motorhome, or tent on an open pitch or a spot bordered by hedges. Prefer not to bring your own? You can also stay in a mobile home, chalet, apartment, or room. The site attracts a mix of families and older guests from Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, and France — a great chance to practise your language skills. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the sanitary facilities are kept spotlessly clean.

Sunbathing on the pier

The star attraction here is the large round pier, nestled among the reeds of Lake Balaton. It’s the ideal place to sunbathe, with steps leading straight into the water. On this southern shore, the water is relatively shallow, which means it warms up nicely and is safe for children to play in. With such a great swimming spot, you won’t miss having a pool on site. The campsite also rents out kayaks and pedal boats so you can explore the lake at your own pace.

Treat yourself to a massage

For kids, this is a simple but fun campsite. In summer they’ll quickly make friends at the water’s edge, in the playground, at the table tennis table, or on the sports field. Join your neighbours for a friendly game of volleyball, football, or pétanque. During the school holidays, fun activities are organised for children. Want to spoil yourself? Book a relaxing massage right on site.

The campsite has a small restaurant and bar serving homemade dishes made with local ingredients. In summer, you can also buy fresh bread rolls and a few basic groceries. For anything else, it’s just a short walk to the village supermarket, where you’ll also find several charming restaurants.

Relax in the thermal baths

The Lake Balaton area is home to several thermal baths, with mineral-rich waters said to have healing properties. Spend a day at the warm springs of Hévíz, just under twenty kilometres away. The beautiful historic town of Keszthely also makes for a great day out, and you can easily cycle there from the campsite. Cycling part of the scenic path around Lake Balaton is a must-do. The full loop is over 200 kilometres, but you can cross the lake by boat at various points — cycle one way, sail back, or the other way around.
